Hostelle: Black-Owned, Women-Only Hostels in Europe
Hostelle is a trailblazing hostel that first opened in Amsterdam as the city's first Black-owned hostel. Founder Bianca Brasdorp created a safe space for women visiting the picturesque canals and merchant houses of Amsterdam. The hostel has since expanded to London and Barcelona, hosting events that bring female travelers together. With comfortable common areas, libraries, fully equipped kitchens, and hair styling tools, Hostelle aims to make women feel at home during their stay.

Wanderstay: The First Black-Owned Hostel in the US
In the diverse city of Houston, Wanderstay holds the honor of being the first Black-owned hostel in the country. Owner Deidre Mathis was inspired to open her own hostel after traveling and making new friends in hostels around the world. Wanderstay is known for its diverse cuisine and convenient location. By staying at Wanderstay, you also support the Wander Abroad Foundation, a non-profit that helps underrepresented college students study abroad.
