Canada's Acorn Tiny Homes is redefining compact living with the launch of the True North Retreat, a tiny home that promises to comfortably house up to seven people. This new design not only offers the expected comforts of a tiny home but also introduces an exciting feature for outdoor enthusiasts—a dedicated barbecue area accessible from the outside.
Room to Roam
The True North Retreat, stretching 38 feet in length and boasting a width of 10.6 feet, sits on a quadruple-axle trailer. Due to its size, a permit is required for towing on public roads. The exterior is a blend of faux stone and metal, complete with green wall accents. An operable facade reveals the BBQ station, complete with a gas barbecue, sink, fridge, and cabinetry, perfect for outdoor dining and entertainment.
Welcoming Interiors
Stepping inside through either a standard door or the sliding glass doors, the True North Retreat reveals a 546-square-foot interior. At its heart lies a spacious living room, featuring a sofa, a mini-split air-conditioning system, and a coffee table. The extra width of the home allows for a roomy feel, complemented by generous windows that flood the space with natural light. Adjacent to the living area is a U-shaped kitchen equipped with quartz countertops, appliances, a breakfast bar, and custom cabinetry.
Comfortable Amenities
The opposite side of the living room houses a full bathroom with all the essentials, including a shower, toilet, washer, and dryer. The master bedroom is a standout feature, located in the raised section of the trailer and accessible via stairs. It offers ample headroom, a rarity in tiny homes, as well as a double bed with storage, windows, and wardrobe space. Additionally, there are two secondary bedrooms that maintain the classic loft style of tiny living, suitable for sleeping or extra storage.
